My Big Brother's Beach Wedding

A year ago, during our family reunion luncheon in Dominican Republic, my brother Ricky introduced his girlfriend Jodi to our aunts, uncles and cousins as his “wife to be”. I could still hear the room cheering, oohing and aahing. Jodi was surprised, as we all were, and smiling bashfully. Wait, was that a proposal? There was no ring, no official popping of the question, no other mention of his introduction during the rest of the gathering. I’m so confused. Could it really be? After 2 years of Ricky and Jodi dating, was that his way of proposing? That was that and the reunion activities continued. Fast-forward two months, I heard through the sibling grapevine that they really are getting married… in DR! I get a text from Ricky asking me to shoot their wedding.
